La Roncaia was founded in 1998 with the acquisition by Fantinel family of a winery, located in Friuli Colli Orientali (Friuli Northeastern hills), already having an over-30-year history in winegrowing. This was the starting point for a new project consisting in creating a small company able to produce top-quality wines, with a particular focus on native varieties and the extreme care in the selection of the most precious grapes. This has led to the creation of six wines, exclusive stages of a first class travel through wine’s heavens. A journey that symbolically starts from the seductive Refosco, accompanied by the power of another great red, Merlot, continuing with a refined enhancement of the regional typicality, Friulano, elegantly joined by Eclisse, a cuvée featuring an absolute intensity.
Finally La Roncaia quality rises to the sweet peaks of excellence, with the two extraordinary DOCGs: Ramandolo and Picolit, stars shining with a rare light. Six exciting experiments of taste, born from a well-defined philosophy: to express a unique terroir, through the selection of few vines interpreted with style, always aiming at the best. This is La Roncaia: a real jewel cellar that, through the experimentation and the use of peculiar wine making techniques, stands out for its limited edition products, awarded with the most desirable awards at international level.
